Volume loss

The 'Y' lift -Non surgical facelift, liquid facelift. 8 Point facelift

We lose facial volume with age. This can be more pronounced in some people. Volume loss occurs from cheeks, chin, temples, brows and all over the face. We can rejuvenate the face by volumising filler or your own fat in strategic locations producing some very nice and natural looking results.

What is liquid face lift?

We use a variety of fillers using their unique properties to fill out facial volume loss, support droopy mouh corners, Jawline and jowl contouring. We also fill out deflated temples, forehead and brow areas.

What is Voulmising filler?

Hyaluronic acid is a sugar that is found in the connective tissue of our skin and along with collagen forms the building blocks of healthy tissues. As it is totally natural component of our skin, no allergy test is required. The result from the treatment is immediate and can last more than a year.

How is it different from other dermal fillers such as restylane, perlane or Juvederm ultra?

It is different from other fillers which are commonly uses to soften lines and wrinkles. It has larger particles and is injected in a deeper plane to achieve a lifting and filling effect on cheeks and chin.

What are the advantages of Volume fillers over surgery?

A face lift only tightens loose skin; it does not replace lost volume from the face which is probably the most important component of facial ageing. It will not improve skin texture or tone either. Plastic surgeons have realised this as well and are increasingly using volumisation of the face in addition to skin tightening which if performed without volume restoration gives a tight but not a natural look. We prefer a natural look for our patients.
Most of us do not have time to recover from a surgical procedure and with recent advances in non-surgical treatments we can achieve very impressive results. Although Dr Gheyi is a qualified and trained surgeon and offers a full range of surgical options, he believes non-surgical treatments can compliment or even replace surgery.

Volume fillers can can lift your face in an instant. As a seconday lifting effect areas on lower face and nose to mouth lines appear less prominent. It is performed under local anaesthesia and takes about 30 minutes. It is an alternative to permanent cheek implants which can be problematic as they sometimes cause infection or move, creating asymmetry in the face. Although fat can be used to transfer into the face and add volume, deep filler is the only method available to achieve a similar result without the need for surgery.

Will I bruise?

There is always a slight possibility of bruising after a filler procedure but Dr Gheyi uses a cannula which has certain advantages over needle injections and most of our patients go back to the normal daily routine immediately after the procedure. It is very rare to have any bruising at all with this procedure. It is best to avoid taking aspirin or anti-inflammatory medications for upto seven days prior to  liquid facelift.
