Mesotherapy

What is mesotherapy?

mesotherapyPioneered by the French physician Dr. Michel Pistor in 1952, Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure that is widely used in Europe and now worldwide to treat various injuries and medical conditions.

Mesotherapy is recognised as a medical specialty in france. Mesotherapy targets problem areas with micro injections of conventional medicines, vitamins, minerals and amino acids. these injections are delivered directly into the mesoderm (middle layer of skin) hence this is called mesotherapy.

It is a very cost-effective treatment for skin rejuvenation. A variety of minerals, vitamins, amino acids and hyaluronic acid along wirh depigmenting agents are used.

A stronger fat dissolving medication is sometimes used for larger areas of fatty deposits. Some examples are ATX 101, aqualyx and PC,DC.

We often combine mesotherapy with energy based devices for cellulite reduction.

For a quick solution we offer laser lipolysis and liposuction

What causes cellulite?

Cellulite has 3 major causes, Fat cell enlargement and oedema or swelling due to water retention under the skin. This causes pressure on blood vessels which reduces circulation and as a result waste products accumulate and a vicious cycle ensues.

Some degree of cellulite is almost universal in women.

How does mesotherapy help with cellulite?

Mesotherapy helps improve cellulite appearance by

1] increasing fat burning in cells,

2] reducing oedema or fluid retention and

3] increasing circulation under the skin

How is mesotherapy performed?

Mesotherapy is performed by injecting medicines under the skin with a very tiny special mesotherapy needle. Local anaesthetic [numbing] cream can be used for larger areas.

How many mesotherapy sessions are required?

We recommend 6-8 sessions for best results. Results are noticeable after 1-2 sessions and then continue to improve with further sessions. Regular maintenance is recommended.

How much does mesotherapy cost?

Prices start from £ 150 per session for skin rejuvenation and from £350 for body contouring . Popular areas are face, hands, decolletage, abdomen, buttocks and thighs.
